Updated for 2026 and finished in an aggressive new Black Satin, the ESP LTD MT-I is the official Signature Series model of Mick Thomson, the legendary guitarist of Slipknot. Built to meet Mick’s exacting standards, the MT-I delivers uncompromising tone, precision, and durability for the most demanding modern metal players.
Based on an MH-style arched body with an inline reverse headstock, the MT-I features set-thru construction at 25.5” scale, combining a mahogany body with a white ash top and a three-piece maple neck. Its Macassar ebony fingerboard offers a smooth, fast feel with a compound radius and 24 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets, ensuring effortless playability and long-term reliability.
Designed around Mick Thomson’s specific requirements, the MT-I includes several exclusive features not found on any other LTD model. These include a Graph Tech Black TUSQ XL nut, Hipshot Grip-Lock locking open-gear tuners, and an all-brass Hipshot Hi-Mass hardtail bridge for maximum tuning stability and sustain. Blue Luminlay side markers provide clear visibility on dark stages.
At the heart of the MT-I is a Fishman Fluence Mick Thomson Signature pickup, offering exceptional clarity and crushing power. A low-profile 3-way toggle switch selects between Voice 1, Voice 1 with bass boost shift, and Voice 2, while a push/pull volume control unlocks Voice 3 for even greater tonal versatility.
