Overview
The original Epiphone Wilshire was built on the frame of early, thick bodied Coronets. They used the Coronet's symmetrical double cutaway design but replaced the wrap around tailpiece with a stop bar/Tune-o-Matic system, and dual P90s. These early models were also available with a vibrato. The Wilshire would be redesigned in 1963, moving from a body based on the Coronet to one based on the Crestwood.
