About this listing
The Evil Instruments Jackhammer's visual aesthetic may be striking upon first glance, but the most pleasant surprise is how great they feel and sound. The body's shape actually makes playing a highly comfortable experience, whether sitting or standing, while the neck's 12" radius and jumbo frets on a medium "C" shape make for a smooth and fast feel. The 24.75" scale length will feel familiar to many players, and the ever-so-slightly hot pickups push the signal, cutting gracefully through the mix. The Jackhammer's different variants offer more differences than just paint colors. The white and black edition come with a mahogany neck and body, making for a beautifully resonant combination, and easy on your back with a very reasonable 7.5lb average. The natural walnut harkens back to the late 70's vibe of the guitars Claudio is known for playing in the past, and while the weight is a bit heftier, it contributes to an impressive amount of clarity and sustain, with it's 5-ply body and neck construction. All guitars are tested and set up in Los Angeles by the Dunable team.
