ARP Axxe Monophonic Analog Synthesizer

ARP Axxe Monophonic Analog Synthesizer

Top pick
ARP Axxe Monophonic Analog Synthesizer 1975 - 1978 - Black / Gold

About this listing

I have several of these amazing vintage ARP Axxes. Even though they have only one oscillator vs two they sound even bigger than the Odyssey for some reason. This version has Arp’s version of the Moog Ladder filter which sounds absolutely amazing! This sale is just for one unit which is the one pictured. (I have 3 more I am keeping but I do have a good deal on an Odyssey listed). Working as it should and sounding great! Sold as is with no returns.

Overview

The ARP Axxe can easily be thought of as budget version or scaled down Arp Odyssey, one of the companies' trademark synthesizers. While it retains a very similar sound to Odyssey and other ARP synthesizers alike, it has a much thinner sound due to its single-oscillator design. The ARP Axxe features 1 VCO, VCF, VCA, ADSR, Noise generator, LFO  and was their simplest yet most affordable design.

Notable Players: Herbie Hancock, 808 State
