A clone of the Synare 3 analogue drum synthesiser, originally made by Star Instruments and widely heard in disco, funk, new wave and reggae/dub productions. It has two oscillators — one switchable between noise and adjustable pitch, the other providing an LFO or adjustable pitch — feeding a filter section (Tune, Osc 2 level, Sweep, Resonance, Decay) and an amplifier stage (Volume, Decay). It is velocity- and level-sensitive, and can be triggered either by tapping the enclosure directly or via a 1/4" trigger input.
