Vintage "Tonus" ARP 2600 w/ 3604P Keyboard - 110 Volt Unit

The ARP 2600 is one of the defining analogue synthesisers of the 1970s, combining the flexibility of a modular system with a semi-modular architecture that allows it to be played without patching. Its distinctive sound, extensive signal routing and hands-on interface have made it a longstanding favourite among synthesists, producers and sound designers. This vintage "Tonus" era ARP 2600 features three voltage-controlled oscillators capable of a broad range of analogue tones, from deep bass and classic leads to complex modulation and experimental textures. Its resonant low-pass filter is central to the characteristic early ARP sound, complemented by envelope and modulation generators, noise source, ring modulation and extensive audio and control-voltage processing. The normalled internal signal path means many sounds can be created without a single patch cable, while the comprehensive patch points allow the internal routing to be overridden or expanded as required. This makes the 2600 unusually immediate for a synthesiser with such extensive modular capabilities. A built-in spring reverb adds genuine electromechanical ambience, while the integrated speakers make the 2600 a remarkably self-contained instrument. Paired here with the ARP 3604P keyboard, the system provides the performance controls and connectivity associated with the classic early 2600 configuration. This is a 110V unit and requires a suitable 240V-to-110V step-down transformer for operation in Australia.
