For sale is a unique, hardwired JPF Amplification Overdrive Special a Dumble-style amplifier crafted in London by Dr. Frank Cooke.

This amp is not a straight Dumble clone, but sits squarely within the Overdrive Special lineage, delivering exceptional touch sensitivity, clarity, and harmonic richness.

Tone & Character:

Clean tones are reminicent of vintage Fender Bassman and Bandmaster amps — but with an enhanced midrange push, responsiveness, and an ability to produce musical feedback even when clean.

As it breaks up, you’ll hear silky Robben Ford-style overdrive, articulate and dynamic, yet never compressed. The pre and post eq gain syages make the eq extremely powerful with setting interacting with the amp breakup. The amp responds dramatically to your playing — rewarding nuance and revealing mistakes.

No pedal dumble inspired or otherwise, will provide the organic drive and brutal dynamic range this amp delivers.

At 35watts this amp is loud. However, with the cascading gain stages and master volume, overdriven tones can be achieved at reasonable volume. The cabinet is compact and the vertical format provides a small footprint for stages or storage at home.

- Black tolex, silver piping, Bluesbreaker-style grille cloth

- Amp and cab were re-tolexed by Zilla at the same time

- Light marks and scratches to tolex

- “Middle” and “Presence” labels missing from front panel

- “Overdrive Special” logo slightly damaged

- Piping on top of head slightly recessed
