RØDE Procaster - Dynamic speech microphone

A speaker microphone designed for use in professional broadcasting and dubbing studios. The robust Procaster weighs 745 g and uses a horizontally mounted, elastically suspended dynamic cardioid capsule. It is designed for front-of-microphone speech, with an optimal distance of approx. 3 to 20 cm.

The frequency response and sound characteristics have been perfectly tuned for speech transmission. The two-layer speech grille and a fabric cover over the capsule effectively reduce explosive consonants without compromising transparency – no pop filter is required.

As a dynamic microphone, the Procaster is much less sensitive than a condenser microphone, making it ideal for studios and voiceover rooms that have to contend with ambient noise.

The Procaster comes with a stand clamp (RM2) and a carrying case (ZP1). It is manufactured by RØDE in Australia and comes with a 10-year warranty for registered users.
