Owen Peter Thomas, is an independent guitar maker who has been fixing, tweaking, and customising instruments for almost two decades. OPT offers a series of guitars that prioritise the details, setup, and feel of the instrument.

The all-new ‘Thema 1’ is intended to be fun and an un-restraining experience, to enable the player to focus on performance. The overall feel and aesthetic of the guitar have been made as natural as possible, with subtle wear giving it a broken-in quality.

The initial models of the Thema 1 focus on a classic design with a creative twist. Each guitar is hand-refined with a uniquely designed carved headstock and pickguard, using sourced necks and bodies.

Carefully selected components have been fitted together to ensure that the guitar is ready to play straight out of the box and will be a reliable and stable instrument for years to come.

The 'Thema 1' guitar features an Mahoghany body, Roasted Maple neck & fretboard, providing a clear and full-bodied sound. The Alnico V pickups sounds sublime; clean or dirty.

The first Thema 1 model, serial number 007, is now available for sale and comes with a standard gig bag
