The last Brazilian RW made in 1917, the later models with 00-18 was made of mahogany.
Although this has been refinished but it will surely last the owner a lifetime and beyond since the wood is protected, especially from cracks. It has been worked upon by the only person allowed to repair Martins in the UK. This was many many years ago. The guitar has been a case queen then that’s why it looked bnew. No visible cracks though.
Underneath the soundboard is a handwritten initial by Frank Henry Martin with the year, the 2nd gen owner of Martin at that time. It’s rare.
No old case included and will be placed on a well formed and cushioned newer guitar case.
Pyramid bridge has been replaced before and the fretboard was also sanded or it could also be new. Newer fret design.
Parts have to be replaced for this guitar to make it last and playable for a long time. The video example is only recorded on a phone, played courtesy of a friend.
