2003 Gibson Custom Shop Allen Collins Korina Explorer.

This guitar is an authentic, hand-aged 1958 Korina Explorer reissue manufactured by the Gibson Custom, Art and Historic Division. It has undergone an exclusive hand-aging and finishing process by Historical Finish Expert, Tom Murphy, in order to replicate Allen Collins’ Korina Explorer from Lynyrd Skynyrd.

This example is number 17 of a very limited batch of what is believed to be a total of 38 instruments. From the finish, aging, knobs, tuners, brass nut, additional strap button, jack plate, etc., every detail is accurate.

Also, the flight case’s original foamed interior has been replaced so it won’t stain the nitro finish of the guitar; as seen on at least two other examples.
