Brelliott BBB-50 Custom - Deep Sea Green hardwood cabinet

This 2020 BBB-30 is a medium to high gain, hand-wired guitar amplifier. It was designed with overdrive in mind – the Treble, Middle & Bass tone controls rein in the grunt after the main gain stages, making it perfect for rock & blues players alike. They take pedals exceedingly well, before the pre-amp, and also in the FX loop.

Normal gain gives you a bit of a growl starting from 12 o’clock. Switch in the Boost overdrive to give it some real dirt.

The overdrive can be tuned to come in anywhere from concise and articulate for intricate leads and solos, to deep and doomy obliterating fatness.

The normal / clean transition into break-up has been carefully worked out, and the transition to boost overdrive has been made as smooth as possible, using tone matching controls.

The amp is hybrid modular design, with milled circuit boards housing the core circuitry, and fitted with a Metropoulos lossless Send-Return loop PCB, switching PCB, and bass matching and Reso control fitted manually. The AmpModula boards are formed from the original 2oz copper, individually milled type. The boards have been carefully hand populated and hand soldered.

It has a bit more poke (50W) than the regular BBB-30, giving a bit more grit and edge through its Sovtek 5881WXT output valves.

The hardwood (poplar) cabinet has been constructed by cabinet builder Joseph Welden. It has been formed of recycled timbers, that have a composite finger jointed design, featuring a mosaic like patching of the holes and inclusions, to create a unique pattern.

The rear faceplate has been drilled through to fit the additional jacks and controls. The Dymo tape is currently red, but can be replaced with black (represented), or the faceplate can be replaced, if required, for the additional cost of the faceplate.

The amp was built as a demo amp for the 2020 Birmingham Guitar Show, and has seen few outings since, due to the infrequency of shows during the pandemic. It has been safely stored in a dust and smoke free environment.

Transport in the UK will be by Lenspeed - they bring the amp to you in perfect condition, in a well strapped, carpeted van, by a dedicated musical instrument transport company. I really am only using them these days, because it's such a good service. If you're not on the mainland UK, then an alternative courier will be sourced.
