Owen Peter Thomas, is an independent guitar maker who has been fixing, tweaking, and customising instruments for almost two decades. OPT offers a series of guitars that prioritise the details, setup, and feel of the instrument.

The all-new ‘Cyfres 2’ is intended to be fun and an un-restraining experience, to enable the player to focus on performance. The overall feel and aesthetic of the guitar have been made as natural as possible, with subtle wear giving it a broken-in quality. There is some fine crazing some through the finish

The initial models of the Cyfres 2 focus on a classic design with a creative twist. Each guitar is hand-refined with a uniquely designed carved headstock and pickguard, using sourced necks and bodies.

Carefully selected components have been fitted together to ensure that the guitar is ready to play straight out of the box and will be a reliable and stable instrument for years to come. 

This 'Cyfres 2' features a Basswood body, Roasted Maple neck, and Rosewood fretboard, providing a clear and full-bodied sound. The versatile ‘Filtertrons’ tie it all together and sounds sublime; clean or dirty via a pickup selector and volume control.

Serial number 004, is now available for sale and comes with a standard gig bag and accessory tin.

This guitar can be seen, demo'd & purchased from The Music Gallery in Tweedmouth, Berwick-upon-Tweed. Northumberland. Open Thur-Sat 11:30-5:00 pm

It can still be purchased online through Reverb, but will take an additional few days prior to shipping.

The guitar will be shipped using Parcelforce 48 within the UK, and delivery should take around 2-3 working days once the order has been collected and packed.
