Flight Fireball EQ-A Baritone Ukulele w/ Gig Bag - Natural
This pre loved Flight Fireball EQ-A Baritone Ukulele is in excellent condition and is a premium, all-solid-wood electro-acoustic ukulele from Flight's Royal Series. It combines the rich, mellow sound of a baritone instrument with striking mango-wood grain, elegant maple detailing and built-in electronics for amplified playing.
It is particularly appealing if you enjoy the warmth of a small acoustic guitar but prefer the compact, four-string format of a ukulele.
What makes it special?
1. All-solid mango body
The top, back and sides are made from solid mango wood. This gives the instrument an attractive, individual grain pattern and a naturally warm, resonant tone with good sustain. Its sound balances rounded bass notes with clear, bright trebles.
2. Premium construction and comfortable design
It features an African mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and a built-in adjustable truss rod. The shaped maple comfort edge makes the body more comfortable against your arm, while the scalloped cutaway helps you reach the higher frets.
3. Built-in active pickup
The Double C1U active pickup lets you connect the ukulele to an acoustic amplifier or PA system. Convenient volume and tone controls sit beneath the soundhole, so you can adjust your amplified sound without adding bulky external equipment to the instrument.

The Fireball's defining characteristic is its full, warm and rounded voice.
- Strumming: Full-bodied chords with a pleasing, resonant quality.
- Fingerpicking: Clear note separation, good sustain and expressive treble detail.
- Bass notes: Deeper and more substantial than those of a typical soprano, concert or tenor ukulele.
- Amplified playing: Useful for live performance, rehearsals and recording without relying on a microphone alone.
An independent review from Got A Ukulele particularly praised its volume, sustain, balanced tone and fingerpicking response.
What is baritone tuning like?
Unlike most ukuleles, which commonly use G–C–E–A tuning, the Fireball uses D–G–B–E, the same tuning as the four highest-pitched strings of a standard guitar.
This has two advantages:
- Guitar players can transfer familiar chord shapes and fingerpicking patterns relatively easily.
- The instrument produces a lower, more guitar-like sound, which is especially attractive for folk, blues, jazz and mellow acoustic music.
Its main strengths are the all-solid mango construction, distinctive appearance, comfortable playing features and built-in electronics.
