Hello! Up for sale here is a Beyerdynamic MC740 large diaphragm condenser microphone. If you are looking at this, there's a good chance that you know how special these microphones are. I really do not wish to part with it but sadly needs must. It has given me some of my absolute favourite recordings (particularly of acoustic guitar, piano, violin etc) that I have ever got.

The microphone has five polar patterns, 10dB pad and a HPF. It's in great condition - though there is a very small dent in the grill, and some very small superficial marks on the body, which are the only reasons why I did not mark it as 'excellent'. It sounds absolutely wonderful and I can only imagine will continue to do so for a very long time to come.

A well-respected engineer friend of mine recently told me that Beyerdynamic microphones are a good investment at the moment, particularly ones of this vintage. I'm initially putting it as collection only (from SW2 or SE23 London), as I don't have a suitable case for it. I have kept it in a soft pouch that you can take with you, along with the official Beyerdynamic EA-72 shock mount. Thanks!
