The Focusrite OctoPre MkII is a 1U rackmount 8-channel mic/line preamplifier equipped with 24-bit / 96 kHz ADAT optical outputs, making it the industry standard for adding inputs to any ADAT-equipped audio interface (such as a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, Clarett, Apollo, or RME unit).
Channels 1 and 2 feature front-panel combination XLR/TRS inputs with selectable Hi-Z instrument DIs for tracking guitars and basses directly, while channels 3 through 8 feature rear-panel balanced inputs. Each channel provides independent gain control, a -10 dB pad for loud sources like snare and kick drums, and fast 5-segment LED metering.
