Doepfer A-142-5 1U Dual Decay/LFO Module
A-142-5 consists of two simple envelope generators, which can also work as A/D-LFO. The switch between envelope and LFO is done with the help of the loop toggle switch. Is it in the position "off", the unit works as an envelope generator and the envelope is characterized by the positive flank of the "Trig." trigger signal. The trigger inputs are normalized (1->2).
If the switch is set to "on", the unit works as an LFO.
The module also has a control input "VCL" (voltage control loop), with which the unit in question is connected via an external control signal can be switched to "Loop on", provided that the switch is set to "Loop off". It is a digital control signal (high/low) and the voltage must be around +3.5V or higher in order for the switchover to be .
If a trigger signal is fed in LFO mode, the envelope and the LFO.
The time parameter "Decay" is available for each unit. This allows the cooldown in the range from approx. 2 ms to 2 seconds (?). The Attack Time can be used with With the help of a trim potentiometer for each unit between approx. 1 ms and 15 ms fixed. Approx. 3 ms are preset ex works. The corresponds to the attack value of the TB-303.
The signal appears at the envelope/LFO output "Out". The The peak value of the envelope or the LFO is about +10V. The signal is visually indicated by an LED.
Suggestions for modifications:
By exchanging a capacitor, the attack/decay times can be shifted to other ranges (e.g. 0.2 ms ... 0.2 seconds or 20 ms ... 20 seconds)
