I have a 2021 Jackson USA Adrian Smith San Dimas SDM here with its hard shell case and paperwork. And i have the original shipping box with it to.

Conditionally, this guitar has some average playwear that I will describe for you.

The body top shows a fair amount of guitar pick strumming on the plastic pickguard from regular play. Any similar superficial swirling will be lesser on the body wood itself. There are signs of scattered surface swirling, but no heavy buildup of any of that. I found one small surface indentation near the forearm area. Beyond that, just faint signs of use.

The body sides/edges show one chip near the output jack. See the last picture for this. This was filled in with a little bit of color and a little bit of guitar finish repair sealer, so it will resemble more like a small ding and a little bit of discoloration rather than a chip that goes through the finish to the wood. It's better to seal these in than leave them exposed to moisture, which can affect the integrity of the finish. The rest of the perimeter looks nice, showing just light signs of use. I didn't find any notable marks or any buildup of playwear.

The body back has no buckle rash or worming. I found a couple of minute surface indentations about a millimeter or less in size that do not break the finish. Any superficial signs of use will be minimal. There's some scattered superficial swirling, but no buildup of any low intensity pattern playwear or patterns of swirling.

The neck shaft contour looks and feels excellent, with nothing to report there. Likewise, the headstock is clean, showing no dings, bumps, or chips. The frets have a little bit of playwear, but not much. They are still tall and meaty. The first few G and B string frets will have just a little bit of level wear, but nothing sinking in deep. These appear to be pretty chunky jumbo frets, so there is nothing that would affect playability.

Also note that a new set of 10 46 strings have been installed prior to listing this. I also cleaned the fretboard and frets. The setup plays fantastic. The neck is nice and level, the spring tension is perfect, and it has a typical modern action of around 2 mm on the bass side at the 12th fret and 1.9 mm on the treble side at the 12th fret.

The truss rod turns a little bit firm, as some of these heel adjusting truss rods normally do. But I have thoroughly tested it, and it is working and has not been overused at all.

The electronics are stock and working as they should. The hard shell case is in very good condition. I found one little micro crack on the top of it in the plastic, but overall it is still in good shape.

So this guitar rates an 8.3/10 and grades as very good. I found only one notable mark, a chip on the body edge about a centimeter by 2 cm in size that was filled in to seal it. It's fairly discreet. Beyond that, the rest of the body looks pretty decent. The neck has some light to average signs of use on the frets. It is structurally and sonically sound, plays great, and sounds fantastic.

My impressions on this guitar are that it has a surprisingly velvety smooth tone to it. The high end frequencies are detailed but without a trace of icepick or harshness even when played with high gain. It has a perfect lead guitar tone. It absolutely sings and excels at leads. The single coils are a nice alternative to active pickups. They are great for distortion because they are silent with no backround hum. It has been fun playing this guitar because i admittedly love Iron Maiden, and i can hear how that tone is achieved through this guitar.

It features a warm body wood bright neck wood combination that counterbalances itself well. Alder is open and three dimensional and smooth. Maple is clear and focused. Maple is probably the best neck shaft wood for it's stability and also i find that maple necks have great sustain and attack.
This guitar is not really flashy looking. It's beautiful in an understated way. What it is, is a classic epitome of a Super Strat. So it's elements, the individual ingredients that make a Super Strat are of the absolute highest quality here.

That is the impression i am left with here. Everything from the fretwork, to the dead on perfect tuning stability. To the tonality and resonance of the woods. It's very high end and the quality is palpable. I have been fortunate to have had some recently made USA Jackson Soloists as well. Their quality is comparable there as well to this you can tell they are in the same family.

Note that this listing may come down at any time as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged on Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that into your purchase.

I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
