For sale is my SSL XLogic Alpha-Link MADI AX professional AD/DA converter.

This has been used as part of my Pro Tools studio system and provides 24 channels of high-quality SSL analogue input and 24 channels of analogue output, making it an excellent way of adding a large amount of analogue I/O to a MADI-based recording system.

The MADI AX also provides 24 channels of ADAT digital I/O and MADI connectivity, allowing it to operate as a flexible format converter between analogue, ADAT and MADI.

Features:

• 24 balanced analogue inputs
• 24 balanced analogue outputs
• SSL A/D and D/A conversion
• 24 channels of ADAT optical I/O
• Optical MADI I/O
• Up to 96kHz operation
• Word Clock / external clock options
• Front-panel 24-channel metering
• Front-panel headphone output
• Analogue connections via standard Tascam-format DB25 connectors
• 2U rackmount unit

The unit is fully working and has been used in a professional studio environment.

There are normal cosmetic signs of rack use consistent with its age. Please see the photographs for the exact cosmetic condition.

I have been running two of these Alpha-Link MADI AX units together, providing a total of 48 analogue inputs and 48 analogue outputs.

I have two Alpha-Link MADI AX units available, so please get in touch if you are interested in purchasing the pair.

I also have an SSL MadiXtreme 128 PCIe card available separately. The MadiXtreme 128 provides two MADI connections and can be used to connect both Alpha-Link MADI AX units to a computer simultaneously, making a complete 48 analogue input / 48 analogue output MADI system.

Please message me if you’re interested in the second Alpha-Link, MadiXtreme 128 PCIe card, or the complete system.

This listing is for ONE SSL Alpha-Link MADI AX only. The second Alpha-Link and MadiXtreme 128 PCIe card are available separately.

Will be securely packaged for UK shipping. Collection is also welcome.

Please see photographs for condition and feel free to get in touch with any questions.
