A truly exceptional Fender Custom Shop Jaguar finished in timeless Black with a matching painted headstock and tasteful Journeyman Relic ageing. Built in Corona, California in 2023, this is a stunning recreation of a vintage 1962 Jaguar that effortlessly combines classic looks, authentic feel and outstanding Custom Shop craftsmanship.

Finished in thin nitrocellulose lacquer over a lightweight two-piece alder body, the Journeyman Relic treatment has been kept subtle and tasteful, giving the guitar the feel of a cherished vintage instrument without excessive wear. The matching black headstock and gold hardware elevate the look even further, creating a striking Custom Shop specification that isn't often seen.

The maple neck features Fender's comfortable '62 Jaguar profile and is topped with a beautiful AAA rosewood fingerboard. Vintage-correct appointments including a 7.25" radius and medium vintage frets provide a wonderfully authentic playing experience, while the rolled fingerboard edges and impeccable fretwork make it feel immediately familiar in the hands.

Electronics consist of a pair of Fender Custom Shop '62 Jaguar flat magnet single coils, delivering everything you'd hope for from a great Jaguar. Bright, articulate cleans, chiming rhythm sounds, rich surf tones and the unmistakable Jaguar bite are all on tap, while the traditional lead and rhythm circuits offer an incredible range of tonal options.

This guitar has clearly been exceptionally well looked after. Aside from the factory-applied relic work, it presents beautifully with virtually no fret wear and is playing effortlessly following a full inspection and professional setup in our workshop.

Included is the original Fender Custom Shop tweed hard case along with the complete case candy, including the Certificate of Authenticity, Custom Shop leather binder, shop floor traveller, inspection card, design guide and original documentation.

Condition

Excellent condition throughout.

The Journeyman Relic finish is factory applied by the Fender Custom Shop, with only the lightest signs of genuine use beyond the original relic treatment. The frets show virtually no wear, the electronics operate exactly as they should, and the guitar has clearly been exceptionally well cared for. There is a small mark inside the of the case where the bridge has marked the crushed velvet a little, this can be seen in the images.

Professionally inspected and freshly set up in our workshop, it plays beautifully with a comfortable low action and superb intonation.
