Klon Pedals

The story of Klon begins with founder Bill Finnegan and his search for an overdrive pedal that wouldn't dramatically alter the sound of his guitar or his Twin Reverb. Over four years of development, the Klon Centaur overdrive pedal was brought to market in very limited quantities. After all, Finnegan was building them by himself on a card table in his apartment. With three simple controls and an incredibly transparent, touch-sensitive sound, it did not take long for the Centaur to catch on like wildfire among tone-chasing pros. Jeff Beck, John Mayer, Peter Frampton, Nels Cline and countless other notable users all swear by the Centaur. When the second-hand prices for the Centaur got unbelievably high, Finnegan set out to build a new version using surface mount components and the same rare diodes to bring the Klon KTR to market, providing the same exact sound in a pedal that can be mass produced.
