Tough to sell this, but it’s to fund another purchase, and I have 2 other electric 12 strings.
From my research, this appears to be a late 1960s, or very early 1970s Teisco made guitar. The neck plate, the way the body joins the neck, and the sheer size of the neck are all very Teisco.
The body of the guitar is fully hollow. Due to the slim ES-339 style body, feedback is not an issue with the exception of the most extreme amounts of gain.
The trem stays in tune very well barring extreme use. I assumed it would be useless when I bought, but it’s a very stable Bigsby style trem. It’s currently setup to not be used since I go down to drop D a lot. Can change before shipping if the buyer wants.
Purchased privately just outside of Toronto in 2013-2014. This is a really unique guitar, and I've never seen anything like it before.
The good:
Fantastic pickups. Much better sounding than many other MIJ guitars I’ve played.
Versatile bridge allowing you to change the string spacing to your specifications
Lots of life left on frets
Neck is comfortable despite being very thick
Lightweight
Pots and pickup selector were changed in the last few years (old ones broke)
Tuners upgraded to grover minis (old ones included)
Just restrung and setup.
Still somehow has the bridge cover with it after 50 years
The bad:
The only real problem is the guitar is extremely neck heavy. Because of the fully hollow body and thick neck, the guitar has bad neck dive. Can be alleviated by putting strap around the headstock.
There are some extra holes from when the new tuners were installed.
Will ship without case. I don’t currently have a case that fits this guitar. Will be packaged properly in an appropriate sized box. Can include a case for some extra $$$.
US BUYERS: I will need to get a CITES permit to ship this across the border. This is not a problem, but may result in the guitar getting to you slowly. I will ship it as fast as humanly possible.
