The Warm Audio WA76 is a budget-minded compressor/limiter which borrows heavily from the design of the Urei / Universal Audio 1176LN Rev D.
The WA76 uses Cinemag transformers for both input and output. Compared to the UA 1176LN which it models, the WA76 features center detents for attack and release, mechanically detented input gain control, and a rear-panel pad. Modern manufacturing techniques, overseas suppliers, and a line-lump power supply bring the cost down.
