CAREFULLY READ ITEM DESCRIPTION AND TERMS OF SALE. Thanks—ITEM DESCRIPTION: Today we have a very clean TL Audio EQ-1 Dual Valve stereo parametric equalizer and preamp. These units are quality-built and represent an amazing value for the price. This unit shows nothing but light signs of previous racking and use and functions as it should. In fact, these are designed to be simple by providing set frequencies in each band from which to choose with a fixed Q. The only issue with this unit is that channel 1 is quieter than channel 2 when using the XLR I/O. Note the photos of the unit's front: when the input gain on channel 1 is maxed at 5-o'clock, channel 2's gain is set at 2-o'clock; and that is where the two channels balance with one another. This difference is not present when using the unbalanced output jacks and it isn't as though the signal on channel 1 is degrading. It's the oddest thing: channel 1 is simply outputting lower volume than channel 2 when using the XLR outputs. Perhaps someone years ago replaced one of the two gain pots with a different spec pot? I dunno, and because as an operational matter the issue is rather irrelevant (just like using two different guitar amps and how each has its volume set specific to how each amplifier amplifies), I have elected to forego having an outside tech figure it out.
