SM98 is Shure’s original mini-condenser microphone, introduced in the 1980s. The partial kit includes the microphone, a pattern modifier assembly that creates a hypercardioid pickup pattern, an original “box” preamp, a mic clip, and a clamp & mast assembly for mounting on drums, etc. No cable.This microphone was a game changer when introduced and thousands were sold before Beta 98 was released. Sadly, SM98 was discontinued due to supply chain problems and manufacturing costs.
