This is the model I always find myself coming back to, easy on the ears, yet it still cuts through a mix. When Shure started cutting costs on later versions, something was lost. That original magic and sparkle just wasn't quite the same anymore. Everything on this microphone is solid which is not always the case when these mics get up in age. Cosmetically, there is some normal wear consistent with age, but there are zero dents, this mic was never dropped. Clearly a well used microphone and for good reason, excellent quality sound and it still performs well. If you’ve been searching for a great sounding original SM7, this is the one to grab!
