Great vintage microphone in beautiful condition except for a small damaged place on the windscreen(see pictures)The 518 has a very smooth and articulate sound. It is very transparent and sounds good on a number of applications. The range of these is 50-16000hz, At first glance it seems limited until you hear it. Vocals are very Pure and untouched and there isn't a bunch of added mids to ugly things up. Toms and Snares really ring, Sax is raunchy and breathy. These were quality built in Germany.
