Packed into the Shelford Channel's single rack space is Rupert Neve's first transformer-gain mic preamp in four decades, a gigantic sounding pre with switchable mic/line/DI operation and variable high-pass filter, an inductor EQ based on vintage 1064 and 1073 modules and a diode bridge compressor that tips its hat to the 2254. The Shelford Channel sports a wealth of tonal shaping features not found on the old modules. Easily flip the order of the compressor and EQ with the push of a button, access the sidechain of the dynamics section, leverage the Silk and Texture features and audition one of two output transformer taps to experiment with harmonic distortion.
