Overview

The Rupert Neve Designs Shelford Channel takes the sound of classic discrete Neve console modules and updates the functionality for today's studios. Packed into the Shelford Channel's single rack space is Rupert Neve's first transformer-gain mic preamp in four decades, a gigantic sounding pre with switchable mic/line/DI operation and variable high-pass filter, an inductor EQ based on vintage 1064 and 1073 modules and a diode bridge compressor that tips its hat to the 2254. The Shelford Channel sports a wealth of tonal shaping features not found on the old modules. Easily flip the order of the compressor and EQ with the push of a button, access the sidechain of the dynamics section, leverage the Silk and Texture features and audition one of two output transformer taps to experiment with harmonic distortion.
