Overview

The Roland JD-Xi is a unique breed: it's a hybridization of digital and analog. Though it's small, the JD-Xi packs an analog synth section that's perfect for leads, two separate sections for digital synths totaling 128 voices in all, a vocoder, a four-track pattern sequencer that allows you to jam over loops, and even a library of preset sounds into its small enclosure. Impressively, that's not all this tiny hybrid synth holds, but you'll have to grab one and play it for yourself to find out just how many features the JD-Xi has.

  • Great Versitile Synth

This thing is awesome. It's my first dive into synthesizers and I am loving it. Easy to use and very versitile. Great aounds right out of the box and easy to tweak. Cant wait to incorporate this into some live jams.

  • Packed with features.

Great synth, very powerful. Didn't really like the menu diving though. The mini keys feel cheap.

  • A pretty cool little synth

Plus both the JDxi and the XP50 have pretty much the same number of sounds. I had an XP10 synth and an MC-50 sequenc…

  • Great for what it was meant to be

Looks like a toy. Feels like a toy. I really dislike mini keys (just my opinion). Sounds amazing. It has an incredible amount of power in a very small package. I'd take it over a Teenage Engineering OP-1 any day. I plan on taking it traveling with me, not in my gig setup.
