The Reverend Vernon Reid Signature The Darque is finished in a Satin Midnight Black finish with Black hardware. Identical to the Vernon Reid Totem series guitars, but with a stealthy new Black finish, this guitar puts the focus on the mysterious symbols adorning the pickups, fretboard and headstock, each with its own translation.

REVEREND VERNON REID SIGNATURE - THE DARQUE
The Vernon Reid Signature model is the first Reverend guitar to feature a Floyd Rose double locking tremolo. It's also the first production model to feature 3 humbucker sized pickups. The new soft V profile set-neck and reverse headstock are other noteworthy features. All are present on this latest Midnight Black model.
Visually, the Reverend Vernon Reid Signature guitars look like nothing else! The body shape has been borrowed from the Kingbolt and fitted with a set 24 3/4" scale length neck and reverse headstock. American Hobo symbols adorn the Ebony fretboard each with its own meaning which is explained in the accompanying booklet.
The Reverend Vernon Reid Signature is an incredibly capable and versatile electric guitar. The Railhammer Vernon Reid Signature Set of pickups are like a beefed up HSS configuration. The bridge pickup is based on the Hyper Vintage humbucker which does everything a classic PAF can do, just better. This is paired with two Humcutter pickups based on the Cleancut which have the punch of a P90 but with a cleaner tone for more treble chime. All wired to a 5-way switch, master volume, tone and bass contour control. Rolling back the bass contour will put you into classic Strat territory but thanks to the construction of the Humcutters there is no 60 cycle hum to contend with. Vernon's music is an explosive fusion of metal to funk and this guitar handles it all and more.
The soft V neck profile is subtle and immensely comfortable. On top of that you have 22 medium jumbo frets on an Ebony fingerboard which provides a very slick and fast playing surface. Not only does the premium Floyd Rose 1000 Series Pro bridge provide rock solid tuning stability, the extra mass gives this guitar huge amounts of sustain and harmonic overtones.
