About this listing
You are looking at Serial#: 0406448 Weight: 7.10 lbsPaul Reed Smith Private StockThe Private Stock program began in 1996 as a way to bring instruments that Paul envisioned to light outside the normal manufacturing process. Our Private Stock program represents the highest quality of materials, the most personally crafted instruments, and the greatest level of customization at PRS. No matter what specifications you choose, every guitar is carefully conceived and built with a “one-off” mentality. Ultimately through this program, we strive to provide you with an instrument that is equally as good as an heirloom to be treasured and a tool to make music.WoodsWood is the foundation of every instrument. In the early days of Private Stock, the letters sent out with finished guitars read, “Carefully picked from my [Paul Reed Smith’s] private stock for sound and remarkable figure.” That is still true today, as all Private Stock woods are carefully housed in “The Vault” just outside of Paul’s office.Much like a fingerprint, each piece of wood is slightly different in figure, weight, and hue. The woods below are a good representation of the assortment that the Private Stock Vault has to offer.FinishesFinish is the moment where an instrument takes on much of its personality. Our finish process is proven to highlight the elegance and figure of the woods you choose, whether that means a subtle, natural finish or a striking, vivid color.Finish options are nearly infinite, but we have cataloged a selection here to get you thinking. You can choose from the options below, send in a photo for us to color match, or simply describe your desired look. Whatever path you choose, your Private Stock instrument will make a statement.InlaysInlay is another part of the Private Stock ordering process with nearly infinite options and combinations. From the design itself to the materials used, inlays are a way to personalize your instrument. There are several materials to choose from and designs ranging from intricate vines to the traditional PRS bird inlays and more.CasesYour Private Stock deserves a case that not only protects your guitar, but also reflects the attention to detail and beauty of the instrument it holds.Specs:Model: McCartyLefty: NF-hole: N/ABody Section:Top Wood: Buck-Eye Burl (Satin finish only)Body / Middle Wood: N/ABack Wood: Black LimbaNeck SectionNeck Wood: Black LimbaFretboard Wood: Exotic EbonyScale Length:25"Neck Carve: PatternRadius: 10"Side Dots: White MOPNumber of Frets: 22Fretwire: PRS VintageVeneer Material: Match Top WoodTruss Cover Material: Match FB WoodFB & HSV Inlay Pkg: Original Birds w/ Outline With Old School EagleColor & FinishTop Color: NaturalTop Color Style: NaturalBack / Middle Color Toner: Match TopBody Binding Color: NaturalNeck Color Toner: NaturalFretboard Color: NaturalVeneer Color: Match TopNeck Finish Type: Satin NitroBody Finish Type: Satin NitroHardware & ElectronicsNut Material: BoneBridge: " PRS Stoptail w/ Brass Inserts"Hardware: Smoked Black Hybrid [gold]Tuning Machines: Tweaked Phase III LockingTuner Buttons: EbonyB pickup: 58/15 LT coveredT pickup: 58/15 LT coveredM pickup: NoneElectronics: 2 Vol & 2 Push/Pull Tone Controls w/ 3-Way Toggle on Upper BoutPickup Rings: Maple - NaturalKnobs: Amber Maple - Natural (switch tip included)String Gauge: PRS Signature - .010 - .046Pickguard: N/ABack Plate Material: N/
