The Nik Huber Orca ’59 Blue Turquoise Glow distills late-’50s magic into a breathtaking modern single-cut. A select flamed maple top crowns a resonant mahogany body, paired with a set mahogany neck for the fast, singing response players expect from a true vintage-inspired build. The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, framed in flame maple binding with crown inlays, delivers touch sensitivity and luxurious feel, while 22 medium-jumbo frets and a polished bone nut ensure effortless bends and authoritative intonation.
A matched set of Häussel 1959 humbuckers sits at the heart of the Orca ’59. These PAF-voiced pickups serve up open, three-dimensional cleans, chewy mid-gain crunch, and harmonically rich lead tones with exceptional note separation. The classic control layout—3-way toggle with independent volume and tone for each pickup—invites timeless blend tricks and nuanced roll-offs, unlocking airy, single-coil-like sparkle when you back the volumes down and muscular roar when you dime them.
It’s a confident performer from pristine jazz and soulful blues to classic rock and boutique high-gain. Playability is dialed in with a 25" scale and a compound 10"–14" radius that stays comfy for chords and speeds up for bends up high. The Orca Standard neck carve feels familiar and substantial without getting in the way.
An ABM AVR-2 Tune-o-Matic and lightweight aluminum tailpiece in aged nickel provide rock-solid tuning stability, accurate setup, and that authoritative hardtail sustain and snap. Schaller Grandtune tuners complete the premium, road-ready hardware set. From its glowing Blue Turquoise finish and ebony headstock veneer to its hand-selected tonewoods and meticulous German craftsmanship, this Orca ’59 is equal parts heirloom and workhorse.
Professionally strung with 10–46 and ready to inspire right out of the case, it’s the vintage voice you don’t have to wait decades to find. Checked, adjusted, and electronics-tested by Max Guitar techs.
