The Neumann M 149 multipattern tube condenser microphone is a modern twist on the vintage Neumann M 49 microphone. The legendary K47/K49 capsule hits a triode tube circuit for some colorful gain, followed by a contemporary transformerless solid-state output stage for remarkably low self noise, wide bandwidth, and high SPL handling.
