Native Instrument's Maschine mkI's hybrid approach changed the groove production market on its first release. From making hip hop beats to creating your own EDM tracks, the Maschine is a genre spanning power house that includes powerful tools for sampling, sequencing and arranging entire songs. Comprised of the dedicated Maschine controller paired with powerful Native Instruments software, Maschine is designed to expand into whatever sonic territory you want to explore as a producer. It features 16 velocity sensitive pads with 8 dedicated encoders for parameter control, plus LCD displays and controls for all other essential functions including transport, editing and mixing. It has been supplanted by the Maschine mkII, but for producers looking for a more affordable option the mkI controller still pairs with the current version of the software.
