Overview

The MXR Phase 90 has been a pedalboard staple since the mid-1970s. Since its introduction, this classic stompbox has remained relatively unchanged with just a single knob to control the speed of the phase shifting. When on a lower setting, the sound moves slower for broader sonic swells, while higher speeds offer more warbly motion. Whether you're chasing that Van Halen tone, trying to funk up your cleans or just experimenting, the single-knob Phase 90 is a proven place to enter the world of phase shifters.

    Amazing

The MXR Phase 90 was a great addition to my stage sound. I've been playing bass for over 30 years, and have never had a less problematic tool on stage. The unit is completely quiet until active, but when on delivers a crisp clear signal. When I engage it on stage there is no change in signal volume…

Super dependable and cheap. These do exactly what they say they do at a fraction of the cost of boutique phasers, especially if you get one used. They are pretty durable, but that being said, this is my second in a few years. Should probably come standard on pedal boards or in the mail with free samples of Tide.

  • Simple and perfect

Great for all your phasing needs. Only has the ability to control the rate, but that's probably for the better because the tone sounds amazing. To me its right in between the color on and color off setting on the EHX Small Stone.

This was my first modulation pedal and I put it at the end of the chain. For my tonal needs this was the wrong spot but once I put it before the overdrives, it was a wonderful addition to my pedal collection. It became a wah pedal that I can control the shift without having to step on another pedal. Again, fantastic addition to my tone!!
