About this listing
The Martin D28 is without a doubt one of the most iconic acoustic guitars of all time. The D28 originally appeared as a 12-fret model, after which the 14-fret version that we still know today was introduced in 1934.Although the model has undergone many changes over the years, this 2001 dreadnought still possesses that unmistakable character that has made the D28 so beloved by guitarists worldwide for decades. The combination of an Indian rosewood body and Sitka spruce top produces that characteristic full, powerful sound for which the D28 has become famous. The dreadnought body shape provides a solid bass and excellent projection, while the rounded profile of the mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand. Furthermore, this D28 is equipped with a built-in microphone, making amplified playing no problem at all. This D28 has accumulated various signs of wear over the years. There are some scratches and dings on the top, and this also applies to the body. Particularly on the back, some superficial buckle wear can be found. On the back of the neck, part of the lacquer has disappeared near the first frets due to playing, and dings can be found on the edge of the back of the headstock. So, we are dealing here with a truly broken-in player, ready for a new musical adventure! This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.photos of: Actual Instrument
