Designed and built in Keeley's Oklahoma City headquarters, it delivers everything from subtle valve warmth and responsive breakup to rich, saturated drive tones, with the flexibility to run each circuit independently or together.
At its heart is a premium Keeley-selected 12AX7 preamp valve operating at a genuine 168V internal supply, delivering authentic tube dynamics, compression, and harmonic richness more commonly associated with traditional valve amplifiers than overdrive pedals. The Tube Drive is compatible with the wider 12A*7 valve family, allowing players to tailor its response with compatible tube substitutions.
The Phat Mod side provides Keeley's classic overdrive circuit, perfectly complementing the valve preamp. Internal routing options allow either circuit to be placed first in the signal chain, dramatically expanding the available tonal palette. Buffered or true bypass operation, remote switching capability, and premium construction make the Tube Drive equally at home on professional pedalboards and in the studio.
