Overview
Kay was one of the largest musical instrument manufacturers in the world during the mid-20th century, producing instruments sold under many different names over the years. Specimens manufactured before the company was sold in 1968 are still sought after by many collectors.
The Kay Speed Demon was a thinline semi-hollowbody electric guitar with a Florentine cutaway and an optional Bigsby tremolo. It was available with one, two or three pickups, with market value increasing slightly for specimens with more pickups.
Years of Production: 1961 - 1965
