Overview

Right from Ibanez's Tone-Lok Series comes the Ibanez DE7 Delay/Echo, which can give you a wide range of delay and echo tones from warm, vintage tape to modern and high-tech. It boasts delay time of 30 ms up to 2.6 seconds for dramatic echo trails. With the DE7's Push-Lok pots, you can "set and forget" your settings to keep them in place without worrying that they'll be bumped or nudged out of place.

It's ugly, but sturdy and does pretty much everything you want it to do. Warm echo setting is brilliant and the digital delay setting sounds fantastic as well. Crank up the feedback to set it into sonic space. Probably one of the best sleeper pedals out there, it will only keep increasing in price as the years go by. Get one or two now while you still can.

Sounds great. Musical, not sterile tone. Very easy to use. I would compare it to my Digitech Digidelay. The Digidelay has more features, but the DE7 is easier to use and has a better tone. DE7 is slightly over hyped, therefore in danger of becoming overpriced.

Been using this pedal in the effects loop of a 2205 for many years. I’ve tried other delays that just didn’t seem to give me the same ‘pro’ sound. I like the echo mode w tails that get darker as they decay. From a quick slap back up to 3 fading repeats is my favorite use. You can get a sweet and full sound without the repeats taking center stage. I own 3.

riding the echo mode on the cusip of oscillation produces some amazing atmospheric vibes. plastic housing isn't my preference but who cares. cheap enough to buy 2. the delay side doesn't do as much for me. not bad but nothing special. the echo side makes it more than worth it tho.
