In the late '60s, the D-55 was dubbed the TV Model and entered the Guild dreadnought line-up as the flagship model. Though similar in design to the D-50 or D-40, the D-55 features higher-end cosmetic appointments like block inlays, as well as an Ebony bridge and three-piece Mahogany/Maple neck. Like other Guilds, those from before 2001 were produced in Westerly, Rhode Island.

    Great Guild guitar with powerfull and warm balance sound. One of the best Guild out there. Can strum hard and will take it no problem. This is why I prefer to play a Guild. At a good price this is one of the best acoustic you can get.
