About this listing
Selling a GML 8200 stereo parametric equalizer, first series — the reference-standard EQ from George Massenburg, the engineer who coined the term "parametric equalization" itself. Includes the external power supply. The 8200 is an all-discrete, Class A stereo parametric EQ with five broadly overlapping bands per channel, each offering up to 15dB of boost or cut with continuously variable Q from 0.4 to 4. The lowest and highest bands can be switched to shelf mode for added flexibility. Built with precision carbon-film potentiometers, GML's proprietary 9202 discrete op-amp, and a DC servo-stabilized direct-coupled output, it remains the go-to standard for stereo bus and mastering work — prized for its transparency, headroom, and surgical precision.Condition: Serviced by the official importer just before COVID, and has seen very little use since. The potentiometers can be a bit noisy/crackly when turned — a common trait on units of this age — but the unit performs well otherwise.Shipping from Belgium — message me for an accurate shipping quote to your country.Specs:Brand: GML (George Massenburg Labs)Model: 8200Series: First seriesType: 2-Channel Discrete Class A Parametric EQBands: 5 per channel, overlappingBoost/Cut: ±15dB per bandQ Range: 0.4–4, continuously variableShelf Mode: Switchable on lowest and highest bandsOp-Amp: GML 9202 discreteOutput: DC servo-stabilized, direct-coupledPotentiometers: Precision carbon-filmIncludes: External power supplyServiced: By official importer, pre-COVID, light use sinceShips from: Belgium
