About this listing
This is a 1944 Gibson Banner LG-2 from WW2 Era. The FON number is 2975 confirming it being a 1944.It is in Poor / Fair condition. It can hold string tension, but it will need repairs done before its fully functional again or safe to play. The strings on it have not been changed in at least 30 years. It sounds amazing once strung up and working. It comes with the original case. Was kept in a climate controlled area. It was bought from an estate sale 10 years ago and it belonged to someone's grandfather who passed away around 2012 I believe. Pictures show the damage. The strings are now cut off so there should be no future damage to the guitar. The pictures were before I cut the strings off carefully.Feel free to send me a message with questions or comments about this model. I am not an expert. I am pricing it based on what chatgpt and gemini told me. I am willing to negotiate for a fair price. Please don't send me a message complaining about the price. I don't know the exact value beyond they go from 6k to 14k depending on condition from what it said.Shipping will be handled via fed ex with insurance from a 3rd party (hence the high shipping price) to secure both sides with tons of protection to get this piece of history to you.
