About this listing
1957 Gibson Les Paul Special in Very Good ConditionThis Les Paul Special retains it's original Limed Mahogany (TV Yellow) finish and it was a one owner guitar until I purchased it several years ago. It's the perfect mix of a nicely preserved guitar with no breaks or repairs, but showing enough checking and wear to be unmistakably a vintage 1950s Les Paul. It has been well protected inside its original 5 latch Lifton hardshell case (included!).The guitar is solid and straight, the neck and fretboard plays smoothly with low action. The pair of original P90 pickups are a true joy to your ears, turn it up through any amp and it brings smiles to your face. You won't be disappointed with this vintage Les Paul. It's packed with the Looks, Vibe, Tone, P90 Grunt and Bark ;)Measurements: 7.6 lbs / 3.45 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.69" (1 11/16") wide at the nut, 0.88" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 8.2k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 9.1k ohms.Repairs: None! Originality: This guitar is 100% original except the tuner buttons. Playability: Very good! Fret wear on original frets is the only thing keeping it from being perfect. I thought it was still nice to play so I haven't refretted it. Condition: Very good with nice finish checking and some nicks and dings. There's a larger ding on the tip of the treble side of the headstock. Included: The original Lifton hardshell case is included. It has a small hole in the lid from the switch tip.
