Overview
While only labeled as "Les Paul Bass" in catalogs and shipment records, this instrument is colloquially referred to as the "Les Paul Recording Bass" due to its similarity to the Les Paul Recording Guitar of the time.
It was soon replaced by the Les Paul Triumph Bass, offering a lightweight body, increased tone options, and a natural mahogany finish.
