A year later in 1951, the P-90-equipped CF-100E joined the lineup. However, production windows were short for both: the CF-100 ran from 1950-1958 and the CF-100E from 1951-1959, each roughly eight years.Built with a spruce top, mahogany sides and back, and a rosewood fingerboard, its small L-series-style body makes it easy to hold and comfortable to play. The CF-100's signature feature is arguably its Florentine-style cutaway, giving easy access to the upper frets for more than just chord work. The serial number on this example has faded with age, making it impossible to pin down an exact year, but the non-scalloped bracing suggests a 1956-1958 build. Despite its small body, it produces a crisp, tight high end and a rich, resonant low end — a distinctive tone that comes not just from the cutaway or bracing, but from decades of being genuinely played. The top shows several cracks, but they have been properly repaired with reinforcement plates, so it can continue to be played with confidence.[Spec / Included Case]TOP: SpruceBACK/SIDES: MahoganyFINGERBOARD/BRIDGE: RosewoodNECK: MahoganyNUT WIDTH: 43mmSCALE: 628mmCASE: Non-Original Hard Shell Case[Repairs / Replaced Parts / Exterior Condition]*As this is a used/vintage instrument, condition notes reflect what our inspection could determine.
