Overview

The Fulltone '70 Fuzz uses two mismatched transistors to give you that accurate, vintage 1970 FuzzFace sound. Originally released in vintage-style casing, the Fulltone '70 was rereleased as the 70-BC, boasting the same snarling circuitry as the original but in more pedalboard-friendly housing. The '70 has the typical Volume and Fuzz knobs, but with an added secret: the Mid control. Being able to control your mid frequencies helps you really stand out in the mix, so your rich fuzz tones can be heard.

I like that you have the ability to tweak the tone a bit. Has an internal bias pot as well. I stack it with a xotic bb preamp(always on) to fatten it up.

  • The sound of barbed wire

. . . spitting fire? Musical mayhem cranked. Spirit in the sky. Gritty as all get out. With an OD before it sounds like the amp is exploding. Subtler sounds available with the Fuzz knob lower but I rarely go for that. Love it!

  • Great fuzz!

This is an awesome sounding fuzz. It will sizzle. Do not use it after a buffered pedal unless you want super spitty gnarly fuzz.

I love the tone of this. You can get a smooth fuzz sound out of this, showing it's versatility. But what I'm interested in is the fritzy, sputtery fuzz you get when you turn the fuzz all the way up. Very cool. The mid control is very welcome. It makes it easy to be heard abave the din. Great product!

  • The Pinnacle of Silicon Fuzz

For searing, growling silicon fuzz face tones, this pedal is your baby. It can however become quite harsh with the mids knob maxed, and you'll want it to be maxed all the time to cut in a mix. Works great when placed before an overdrive.
