This Yin Yang 4 Standard Special is one of those instruments — not a signature model commissioned for retail, but a bass that lived in his world.Fodera built this one right: alder body with a flame maple top, 34" scale, brass nut, 24 frets, EMG pickups with an active/passive switch, and a 3-band onboard EQ. It plays exactly how you'd expect a Fodera to — clear, balanced, with that characteristic low-mid warmth that makes every note feel considered. The body shows minor playwear consistent with a working musician's life. Note that the stacked volume/tone knob is missing — a simple replacement, but disclosed in full.What can't be replaced: provenance.
