About this listing
Killer Strat! First, I have had this a long time and I got it used exactly as it is now. I was psyched because it has all the mods a Strat owner would do in the mid seventies! We were looking for a humbucker, check, a tremolo that would work in both directions for dive bombs, check, better tuning machines, check, coil split on the humbucker, check! When I bought it maybe 15 or 20 years ago, I looked up the serial number which identified it as a 1975 but as of this listing, the site said could not find the serial number. I am not an expert and if someone can help me identify what parts are Fender or not I will appreciate that. Obviously it has had extensive modification or... Looking very closely, I can see four tiny filled hole on the headstock near the nut. That said, this guitar has it all and great looks as well! It has a nice feeling neck with good action that I have never needed to do anything to, it just plays well and it retains the classic Strat sounds with sweet quack in the # 2 and #4 positions, plenty fat at #1 and the bridge position screams on single coil and has a jazzy tone on the humbucker setting. Electronics are remarkably quiet. The tremolo bar is a replacement and has a slight wobble. Three bolt neck stays in tune really well! The only major ding is shown in pics. I started recoating that with a blend of white and off white automotive paints because of course with aging, it would otherwise be impossible to match. Other wear commensurate with it's age. This is a great classic Player Strat, I am just hooked on my LP.
