This amp sounds wonderful at both high and low volume. It is super quiet with virtually no hum. Great for a bedroom player or recording. It really comes to life when cranked and achieves that edge of breakup sound without sounding muddy or over saturated.
This amp has been serviced over the years but has retained most of its original goodness. The transformers are original. The speaker has been replaced with a sweet sounding Jensen. The original speaker is included and was recently reconed. It has been recapped and other parts replaced. Older vintage tubes that sound great. Three prong cord added for safety. Be sure to check out the internal (gut) pics. No service records available, but our tech went over this amp meticulously and signed off that it has a clean bill of health.
