One day we'll stop running across amps like this 100% original, absolutely gorgeous, 1952 Fender Princeton, but for now I'll keep working hard to keep the hits coming.If you have a '52 Tele and you're looking for an era appropriate piece to add to it, here ya go!While I don't recommend using an amp this old that retains all its original parts, I did slowly bring it up on a variac and found that it does work really well. I didn't use it long - I just wanted to see if it would work. The trick is to recharge caps while slowly bringing up voltage, stopping if a cap leaks or some other issue arises. No such problems came up with this amp. I will replace the electrolytic caps and anything else that should be replaced for regular use should the next owner want me to prior to shipping.We cleaned the pots and tube sockets and tested all the tubes.
